THOUGHT OF THE DAY...
I'm old enough to know better yet young enough to not give a fvck...
Realer words couldn't have been spoken. Shouts to Fab... There comes a point in life where you become more self aware, caring less about what others do. You tend to look out for your future. Of course being fly is cool but the latest Jordans become less important compared to the latest countertop or what your 401k looks like. At 19 you sacrifice for the new Polo jacket whereas at 29 you're thinking of colleges and how you can afford them for your five year old.
At this same point in life you stop making fun of your once favorite rapper for being arrested repeatedly and begin praying that he shakes that addiction he has for the life of crime. You begin to donate to the homeless instead of snickering when you walk past. Life changes, that little boy hooping by himself... you pass the ball to him and take him under your wing.
Everyone doesn't hit this pinnacle at the same time. Friends can become strangers if one gets to this point before the other. Some never grow into this but instead are stuck in their second and third childhood. Guess they can't get that shallow sh!t off of them, Pray for them...

Watch your surroundings...
This goes for the people along with the places. Maybe I am too analytical with everything... Or maybe I'm right on point. The people around quite possibly may have their best interest at heart with no regard for anyone else. This does happen you know... My only advice this morning is, watch how everyone is moving around you.
Opportunists are what they are. One who takes advantage of any opportunity to achieve an end, often with no regard for principles or consequences. You may not hear from this person for weeks or months but when you do.... it's always because they need something from you. I'd rather talk to people who call me once per year to ask how myself and the family are.

Your childhood is the biggest influence on your adulthood...
The way you are is a direct reflection of how you were raised. Often times I have conversations about the characteristics of people and basically it comes down to their upbringing. If you were hugged and shown affection throughout your younger years, chances are that you turn out to be a loving and affectionate person. You will either become three things as an adult.... just like your parents, nothing like your parents or try so hard to be nothing like them that you end up doing the things that they did and don't realize it.
Myself and friends always discuss the foolery and ratchetness and my response is always 'They didn't get enough hugs as a kid, why else would they act that way.'
If you're a parent that's reading this, then I suggest that you set that example of what you wish your child(ren) to become. Remind them that you love them as often as possible and teach respect. Fathers, hold them girls... show them what a man is and she always will have high standards and never go searching in the wrong places because she already knows what a man's love should feel like.
I'm not a psychiatrist... just a man Learning From Experience!!!

Us guys do not need to hear what the women in our life has to say no more than one time, any more than that is called NAGGING. Whether it is coming from our Mom, Sister, Aunt, Daughter or Life Partner... it is still Nagging. Say it once and most of us got it... if it seems that we aren't responding in a timely manner, it may not be a priority to us.

Single Men Are Only Single Because They Want To Be...
In a recent conversation with a friend of mine that has been married for about a year now, the topic of men and women being single and the reasons came up. We both agreed that all women are crazy, however it all depends on what level of craziness that a guy is willing to deal with. Men can be a bit off the deep end as well but studies show in more cases women usually are.
We then were breaking down the single life... Women between 21 and 25 are usually busy finishing their education and beginning their careers which is the reason for most to be single. At that age there really isn't any time for men besides occasional dating. Once they choose the path they want their lives to go in, then the serious dates begin. By 30 most want some sort of a family to begin, whether it be a husband and children or just a husband. In most cases women want the husband by 30 and no later though. She may be with a guy since high school or college... If the man she is with is not husband material then she will ditch him for the single life until the husband type come along.
Now, for us guys... sigh!!! From the ages of 17 through 27 our biggest concern is making money. How can we keep money in our pockets.... then comes the thought of conquering as many women as possible. For whatever reason we are not thinking about settling down until later. Around the age 30 we are still getting the last bit of fun out of our systems. If for any reason we are single, it is because we want to be. There are plenty of women who want a man of their own but if we don't want it, it will not be. Men become "unavailable" only when they are ready....
